Madison Bolatto (b. 1995 Minneapolis, MN) is a self-taught painter, graphic artist, filmmaker, and photographer living and working in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Bolatto's work is inspired by the relationship between life and death, dreams, and consciousness. Grief, impermanence, nostalgia, and femininity are main themes in her work as well, across mediums. Her practice is deeply rooted in spirituality.

 

Through art, Bolatto attempts to lift a mirror to humanity. Her process is imaginative, sensitive, and intuitive. Despite being young in her career, Bolatto has a very strong artistic vision and a sharply developed creative voice.
