Madison Bolatto (b. 1995 Minneapolis, MN) is a painter, graphic artist, filmmaker, and photographer based in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Bolatto's work is inspired by the relationship between life and death, dreams, and consciousness. Grief, impermanence, nostalgia, and femininity are main themes in her work as well. Her practice is deeply rooted in spirituality.

 

Through art, Bolatto attempts to lift a mirror to humanity. Her process is imaginative, sensitive, and intuitive. Despite being young in her career, Bolatto has a strong artistic vision and a sharply developed creative voice.
